A Letter to Playa Mar Chiquita
Sorry Playa Mar Chiquita, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. It was more like soul recognition. When I first saw you, I thought you were going to be like all the other beaches. However, it didn't take me long to figure out that you were different.
First, I saw a huge body of water. Sorry to say this, but it did not impress me at all. Yeah, your waves were big and you looked gorgeous, but there was nothing special about you. Then, I noticed a huge boulder that looked too dangerous to climb. To make matters worst, I couldn't even see past to the other side. But I took the risk and decided to trek the dangerous boulder. As I climbed the rocks, I saw more and more of your natural beauty. There were crystal clear pools that had an ombre effect. The water went from a turquoise to a light blue to a translucent gleam. It didn't take me long to see how special you really were. I was amazed by your beauty, so I sat on the edge in awe. I listened to your waves and gazed at the crashing water. It hypnotized me as I watched the ocean flow in and out at a constant pace. At that moment our souls were synchronized as one.
After a peaceful moment on the rock's edge, I decided to continue walking. That was when you impressed me even more. At the end of this gigantic boulder, you showed me the world. All I could see was the endless ocean going on for eternity.
