Travel Guide: What to do in Seoul, Korea
Here is a list of things that you should do while you are in Seoul, Korea!
1. Visit a Palace
I went to Gyeongbokgung Palace. This was the most memorable experience that I had while I was in Korea. If you rent a hanbok (Korean traditional dress) from the shops nearby, you can get into the palace for free! When I went the weather was so hot, but it was worth the struggle to feel like a princess for a couple of hours!
2. Go to Zapangi
Zapangi is a cute cafe where the entrance to the place is a PINK vending machine. Not to mention, the desserts and drinks at this place are really good! I would recommend this place. CLICK HERE for more information about this cute cafe.
3. Hike up to Namsan Seoul Tower
This was a good activity to do for an entire day. My sister and I walked up to the top of the tower on a hot summer day and the view all the way up was beautiful. I do have to say that the hike up was difficult, so make sure you have proper shoes and a lot of water. Other than that, when you get to the top you will not regret it! CLICK HERE to see more photos.
9. Walk Around Hongdae, Seoul
This is a hip area to walk around in during the day or at night. There is a lot of stuff to do like drink, eat, and shop! The vibe is really urban and every alley has something pretty to see. Also, there is a cute pink door here known as the Blackpink House. Below you can see how cute it is!
10. Mural Chase at Seoul Animation Center
My sister and I stumbled into this area. It was known as Seoul Animation Center! There were some really cute murals all over the place. They have an animation center nearby so you will see the streets filled with cute cartoons and creativity.
11. Stop by Style Nanda Cafe
Style Nanda Cafe is located in Style Nanda which is a clothing store. In the clothing store, there is a cute swimming pool themed cafe where they serve the cutest drinks! This place is a must while you are in Seoul!
12. Drink Tea at a Dog Cafe
If you are missing your dog while you are in Korea, then you should go to a dog cafe. You can spend the day drinking tea in a room filled with dogs!
13. Drink at a Convenient Store
What I love about Korea is how accessible drinks are. You can literally walk down to your nearest convenient store and buy alcohol. Also, they have seats and tables right outside for you to drink. Don't forget to buy some ramen or food while you are there. Seriously, how convenient is that?
14. Eat Until You Can't
There were so many days in Korea where I ate too much for my own good, but every bite was worth it! If you want a list of food you should try while you are in Korea, CLICK HERE.

4. Spend a Night at a Sauna
This is the most relaxing thing that you can do! My sister and I went to a sauna one or two times a week during our month stay in Korea. The price of the sauna is reasonable. It's around 11,000 won in the morning and 17,000 won for the night. It is a public bath house, so you have to feel comfortable being naked in front of strangers. Trust me, you will get used to it and it is worth it! I would recommend Siloam in Seoul Station. This place was clean and well managed!
5. Walk Around Myeongdong
When you go to Myeongdong, there is so much to see and do. They have so many clothing store, restaurants, cafes, souvenir stalls, street food stands, and the list goes on! You will never run out of things to do here. You can browse around in the morning, or you can walk around at night.
6. Go to Gwangjang Market
This was the best market to get street food. Also, if you are looking for a place to get some traditional Korean items to take back to your hometown then this is the place to go. They have a selection of hanboks which are Korean traditional outfits. You can get pre-made versions or you can get them custom made at this market. Not to mention, they have affordable items you can buy as gifts for friends and family here.
7. Go to Mangwon Dong Market
This is another awesome market to stop by while you are in Korea. They have a wide selection of street food here!
8. Drink at Urban Space
This is a really fun and interactive bar that you should go to. They have a wide selection of adorable drinks to pick from. The best part is the different sections of spaces to get your perfect Instagram-worthy post while you sip on your drink.
