Natural Pool in Aruba

If you are in Aruba, The Natural Pool is one place that you need to visit! It is known as Aruba Natural Pool or Conchi Natural Pool and it is located on the eastern shore of the island. When you get there you will see how amazing nature is. There are rock formations that create a safe pool for people to swim in along the coast of the crashing waves.

How Do I Get to The Natural Pool?
Getting to the natural pool was a lot more difficult than I expected. You need to be prepared to go on an adventure and get dirty. It is located inside of the Arikok National Park. It cost $11.00 per person to enter the national park. Once you pay, you get a wristband that allows you to have access to the entire park for a whole day. To get to the pool you have to travel to the center of the park. There are different ways to get there. You can hike there or you can take a vehicle to the pool. However, make sure you have a 4x4 and DO NOT attempt the drive without a 4x4 vehicle.

If you decide to hike there, make sure you have comfortable shoes and enough water. From the visitor center the hike is around 3.5 miles one way.

What to Expect When You Get There?
When you get to the natural pool you will be able to cool down in the water. Make sure you bring swimwear and a towel to dry off. I wish I brought water shoes because the rocks were sharp.

You have to be cautious when you go there. Make sure you take your time to get into the water. The rocks near the pool are extremely slippery and there are sea urchins on the rocks towards the far right. Go into the pool directly through the pathway. Swim within the pool. If you follow the rules, you will be safe and you will enjoy your time.

Natural Pool UTV Tour
A good way to get to the natural pool is through a UTV tour. I did a tour through Del Palm Tours. I highly recommend this option. Our tour guides were funny and personable. They made sure they took care of us. They refilled our water and even gave us a snack midway through the day.

It cost us $249 per vehicle in the afternoon (departing at 2:15 PM).  If you decide to go in the morning (departing at 8:30 AM), it will cost you $269. In one vehicle you can have two people. This cost includes transportation from most of the major hotels.

You will get dirty on this tour because you will be going through dirt roads. I wore light colored clothes and they got really dirty. I suggest wearing clothes you do not care about. Also, this is an active tour, so they do not allow children under 12 to participate. If you have children, make sure you have an ID to present at the time of purchase. Lastly, you need to have a valid driver's license and be at least 23 years old to drive the UTV.
